Exploring the NTUC CTC Grant
Is your organization ready to optimize processes, streamline operations, and unlock new levels of efficiency? If so, navigating the funding landscape for such a transformation can be a stumbling block.
Here's some good news: The National Trade Union Congress (NTUC) recently introduced the Company Training Committee (CTC) Grant, a S$70 million initiative specifically designed to support businesses like yours in undertaking transformational journeys.
Managed by the Employment and Employability Institute (e2i), a tripartite collaboration between NTUC, the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF), and the Singapore Labour Foundation (SLF), the CTC Grant offers much-needed financial assistance to fuel your digital transformation goals.
What exactly is the CTC Grant?
This grant empowers businesses with established Company Training Committees (CTCs) formed in collaboration with NTUC to pursue two key transformation areas:
- Enterprise Transformation: Boosting business capabilities, innovation, and/or productivity. This could encompass implementing business software – such as ERP systems – designed to achieve these objectives.
- Workforce Transformation: Upskilling and reskilling your workforce, ultimately leading to better career prospects and salaries for local workers.
Is This Grant for You?
To be eligible for the CTC Grant, your business must:
- Be registered and operating in Singapore.
- Have a minimum of 3 local employees.
- Be a member of an NTUC Union or an NTUC-affiliated association.
- Have formed a CTC with NTUC.
Maximizing Your Funding Potential with the NTUC CTC Grant
Wondering how much financial support you can receive through the NTUC CTC Grant? While the grant offers up to 70% of your project's qualifying costs, the exact amount depends on two key factors:
- Strength of your business transformation:
- The grant rewards projects with clear and impactful outcomes in boosting business capabilities, innovation, or productivity. This could involve implementing business software like ERP systems to streamline operations.
- Demonstrate how your project aligns with your overall transformation goals through a well-defined strategy and expected results.
- Impact on your workforce:
- The grant emphasizes upskilling and reskilling local workers. Quantify the number of local employees your project will benefit and how it will improve their career prospects and salaries.
- Clearly link your project activities to these workforce outcomes for maximized funding potential.
Eligible project costs include:
- Business equipment or software: Think ERP software, automation tools, and other technology investments that support transformation.
- Consultancy services: Seek expert guidance in implementing your project effectively.
- Training: Equip your workforce with the skills needed to adapt to and thrive in the transformed environment, including training related to new business software.
